Deep in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, intrepid explorer Dr. Lily Houghton sets off on a daring mission to find the legendary Tree of Life, believed to have healing powers beyond imagination. Accompanied by her witty and protective brother, MacGregor, Lily hires the quirky but charming riverboat captain Frank Wolff to guide them through the treacherous jungle waters.
Frank, known for his corny jokes and ramshackle boat named La Quila, agrees—partly for the money, and partly because he harbors secrets of his own. As they navigate the winding river, they face wild animals, natural obstacles, and a villainous German aristocrat, Prince Joachim, who is also after the Tree’s power.
